The Caribbean faces a critical environmental issue with unprecedented Sargassum inundation events since 2011. Human-induced nutrient accumulation from deforestation, waste-water runoff, and agricultural practices has triggered massive Sargassum blooms, causing ecological disruptions, economic losses in tourism, and potential health risks. Proactive measures and sustainable agricultural practices are urgently needed to address and mitigate the significant impact of these events in the region.
